This event is a 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run for participants of all ages and activity levels. The course highlights the attributes of the area as participants make their way utilizing the roadways in the park. It is a scenic course with views of beautiful Smith Mountain Lake. All proceeds from this event go to benefit programs at the Park and fostering environmental stewardship and education. Friends of Smith Mountain Lake State Park, Inc. is a volunteer 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to promoting the use, enjoyment, and appreciation of this beautiful park and we look forward to having you join us for this early Spring event. .... The entire course for the event takes place within Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Upon entering the State Park, please proceed to the Entrance Station where you will receive directions to the start of the race. The start time for the event is 9:00 am. Packet pick-up will begin at 7:30 am at the Beach Pavillion for the Start and Finish of the run. We will provide directions for you upon arrival at the Park entrance. There is a large parking lot at the start/finish. The course will close at 10:30 am
