Mark your calendars for this fun run for a great cause. Event will begin at Christiansburg Recreation Center. Registration opens June 26. $15 in advance, $20 day of event. $10 t-shirts.
Race starts at 9:30 a.m. Packet pickup and registration begin at 8:30 a.m.
This event is hosted by the Gaye Y. Whitaker Memorial Fund. All proceeds will benefit this year's recipient, Ashley Harmon. Ashley is from Floyd, VA and is described to me by her sister as a beautiful person who has a radiant smile that melts your heart. Even on her worst day, she's smiling. And that's because she has the love of Christ in her heart and He rules her life. She has already overcome many obstacles in her life and then she was diagnosed last year with stage IV breast cancer. Her motto through it all has been "God's Got This!". Her faith, strength and courage in the face of this most recent challenge makes her so deserving of this fundraising event.
