The River Run course Starts and Finishes at the Parking Lot next to the Bennington Street Bridge and is exclusively on the Roanoke River Greenway.
Directions:
From Interstate 581, take Elm Avenue towards Vinton.
Turn right onto 13th Street at the traffic signal.
13th Street will turn into Bennington Street and after crossing the bridge turn left onto Brownlee Ave (by the Water Treatment Plant).
Look for signs.
Race Course:
Runners will start at the corner of Brownlee and Spruce, run down Brownlee til they take a right in the Bennington parking lot and onto the Greenway. Stay on the Greenway til you pass Piedmont Park. Once you pass the park, runners will do a loop around the park, left onto Arbor and a quick left onto Piedmont, under the little gazebo thing, and right back onto the Greenway. Runners will run back to the Bennington parking lot to the finish line.
The Deschutes Brewery Street Pub will be open from 2-10PM in Elmwood Park. Come out and enjoy great beer, food, and live music. That's the perfect way to rest after running an 8k.
