Don your capes and be Superheroes for homeless families! HomeTrust Bank presents the third annual Superhero Race in conjunction with Roanoke’s GO Outside Festival. The Little Heroes Fun Run on the Reserve Avenue fields will be a perfect way to get double the wear from your kids’ Halloween costumes. The Superhero 5K Fun Run/Walk on the Roanoke River Greenway is for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, kids in strollers, and dogs. The race party will include a Parade of Heroes, live music, children’s activities, and prizes for creativity and enthusiasm. Stick around after the race for more outdoor adventures at the GO Outside Festival! Money raised during the Superhero Race will go to Family Promise of Greater Roanoke, giving families a home on the way home.
